This blog began as a response to the closure of Hammersmith Bridge. Everything since has revolved around a single question:

How do we live well in Barnes during this climate emergency?

Here you’ll find a set of practical proposals, ideas for me, my friends, and anyone in Barnes trying to navigate this moment. They grow out of steady, grounded local reporting on a range of topics such as transport, housing, the local economy, the environment. The aim is simple: proposals rooted in lived experience, informed by data, and open to challenge.

I write and record openly because the process helps me think more clearly. Publishing the work keeps me accountable.
